Dr. Steve Richardson is a 1987 graduate of Southern College of Optometry, Memphis Tennessee. In 1987 the College of Optometrists in Vision Development awarded him the "A. M. Skeffington Award" for clinical excellence in vision therapy. He is an active member in the American Optometric Association, Tennessee Optometric Association & the Ohio Optometric Association. Dr. Steve Richardson has been practicing Optometry in Cookeville since 1988 and currently owns & operates the largest Optometric practice & Optical Dispensary in the upper-Cumberland area. He was the first Optometrist in the Upper-Cumberland to do many things, such as: fit Disposable Contact Lenses, become certified in Cornel Refractive Therapy, perform automated perimetry in the detection of visual field loss, and to utilize retinal tomography in evaluation of glaucoma. Dr. Richardson is also an avid motorcycle, scuba & photography enthusiast.
